Dear Community,
4 Korners Family Resource Center is excited to announce: A health caravan is touring the Laurentians and coming to a place near you! English-speaking community members will have access to 3rd year John Abbott students studying in health and social services fields, who will be on hand offering glucose and blood pressure testing, techniques in proper EpiPen administration, information on nutrition and oral health and youth and adult crime prevention. The students will also be giving two interactive presentations in English at each site visit. Students taking part in John Abbott’s interdepartmental collaborative community initiative will be able to answer questions from the public and will have information on hand to distribute, which they’ve produced specifically for their tour of the Laurentians. The public is encouraged to bring any medication they’d like verified, questions or concerns they’d like addressed or any specific questions they may have. John Abbott students taking part in the caravan will be coming from the Nursing, Dental Hygiene, Pre-Hospital Emergency Care and Youth and Adult Correctional Intervention programs and are looking forward to meeting members of the various communities throughout the Laurentians.
